The safety of hazardous materiel is an important aspect of military logistics, and is often a major management problem. The development, manufacturing, testing, handling, transportation and storage of explosives, including chemical agents, require constant vigilance. In the Department of Defense (DoD), this vigilance is provided by the Explosives Safety Board.
